Union Special 39200 AC Vintage Industrial Sewing Machine w Differential Feed

You are looking at a vintage Union Special 39200ac overlock sewing machine. According to the manual this machine is used for seaming the lighter weights of flat knit, warp knit, and ribbed knit fabrics made from cotton, wool, rayon, and silk. This machine has a front tandem differential feed which when activated enables a ruffling effect as shown in the sewing example photos. This machine is the 1/8 stitch width version. Even though this machine was designed for knit fabrics, it easily sews though 6 layers of unsanforized denim as shown in the photos.

This machine has been cleaned and tuned and is in great cosmetic shape.
