V=wtb5gqT7f44 DETAILS: The machine's base in the video is 4 high. I did that for demonstration purposes only. The actual base on the machine for sale is the 1 version (see pics). The end cap on this machine is NOT original Simanco/Singer.
I had it duplicated from an original part, because I couldn't find a replacement part anywhere (and I had another one of these for a machinist to work with). Trust me, it's an almost identical match (my welder friend did an awesome job). Almost everything else on the machine is original Singer/Simanco parts. It does have a new/current belt and thread take-up lever. Also, the presser bar adjusting collar thumb screw is an improvisation (it was missing when I acquired the machine). However, the replacement screw actually works better than the original I have in my other machine. I've demonstrated the machine in the video.... It is tuned up very nicely and working perfectly.
There is a learning curve to this working well with this machine, and I've found it can be rather temperamental - but once you get it, nothing repairs and darns faster or more effectively. I'm including a printed copy (not original) of the instruction manual. It weighs approximately 70lbs and will come in an 18x18x24 box.
