Early 1900's, Heavyweight industrial / commericial model for Fur, Gloves, Leather, Sails, Upholstery... Antique Singer 46KSV63 Sewing Machine Head RARE two thread / double chain stitcher model... Working but may need some TLC /. CastIron fly Wheel rim is broke.... T urns fine but could use more oil.
The machine is almost origin complete, the orginal second thread tension setter is missing. I fashion a tension setter out of hard ware store parts and designed a tempory hand crank wheel out of ply wood so as to use as a hand crank... It is attached via Zip Ties. In photo (9) I have pointed an (A) and a (B) marker designating spots where a Guide attachment are on various model type, Some have a brack attached via screws to marker spot (A).... Some models have a rod stricking out of hole by marker (B).And other models don't have any-thing at all, so I do not know if this model is missing one of those parts or not. Uyer should ideally have knowlege on double chain stitch sewing machine types, and how to thread it.
(mainly the 2nd thread and how to thread the looper)... I could not find any Youtube video that shows this model. The only video I did find was of the poorest quaility and useless for any. C omes with 9 extra needles.
Weighs nearly 40 lbs, and measures about a foot cube. Please check pictures carefully for a visiual description.
