The machine works and has been professionally timed. Even has a Galkin belt cover.
When I contacted Galkin about it, they had no knowledge it even existed. And maybe it's something but under the gears on the bed plate of the Union machine is stamped "1" So this might have been a prototype or the first one they made? Or it might just be a "1" stamped on it? If you're wanting a vintage Union Special, that nobody else has or has even seen this is the one.
It's in really good shape too for it's age. The item "Rare Antique Union Special / Galkin Waist Band Industrial Sewing Machine Zig Zag" is in sale since Monday, November 07, 2016.
