I replace old plastic broken gears with new ones and I totally service each machine including oiling, greasing, and setting timing, and cleaning. Thompson is the master piece of walking foots. Black paint applied to look cool. Great for leather and canvas applications. You can sew up to 3/8 (maybe higher) leather. Needle is DP X 17. Recommended thread v69 or v 93.
