Heavy Duty vintage Brother SELECTOMATIC IV sewing machine! Up for consideration: 50's era Brother heavy duty all steel & chrome sewing machine made in Japan. I read the factories that once produced Japan's WWII machines were then set to produce Brother sewing machines, post-war. I could believe that because this machine is indeed built like a tank, with all steel gearing and LOTS of chrome, remarkably it looks to be in great shape. It has several advanced functions and different'cams' for different patterns. The whole needle assembly can automatically shift left, right and middle. It does so very nicely and now can see how that, enables it to sew for "Hundreds of Designs" as read from the front of the machine. The motor works when plugged in and the machine operates.
