INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH Singer Model 239M-A Straight Stitch (with Reverse Feed) Sewing Machine with Walking Foot attachment, Serial Number: ME787559 built August 23, 1970 at Singer's famous Monza, Italy factory. The 239 was Singer's premier heavy duty straight stitch machine throughout most of the late 60's and early 70's, it features a full steel chassis and internal moving parts, along with Singer's famous Oscillating Shuttle system.
One of the nicest 239's you will see too, with much less than average wear and tear for a machine from this era. Overall, in just excellent shape. Comes with a Walking Foot attachment, which allows effortless sewing of dense or multiple layers with perfect alignment. Sews a perfect stitch, forward or reverse, straight or circles, and this baby really has industrial strength. This machine breezed right through all my samples like they were not even there.
