Alfa Model 50 Heavy Duty Electric Sewing Machine. A very versatile machine with a working built in sewing light... Perfect for sewing lightweight fabrics from silks and satin's, household fabrics, soft furnishings, upholstery, right up to heavy materials such as denim, canvas, webbing and even 5mm of leather (using the correct needles and thread of course). As with all used machines, there are signs of wear and tear associated with age and use, most noticeably scratches and marks to the enamel and paintwork (please study photographs) but nothing that detracts from the excellent running of the machine.

All metal construction so it is strong, durable and reliable. Suitable for small businesses and homes alike. It is a straight stitch heavy duty machine and sews perfectly in forward and reverse. Built in the days of precision engineering, to industrial strength.

These machines were built to last and if kept oiled and serviced, it can last you a lifetime unlike today's modern plastic machines that can't be oiled and cared for. Parts and accessories are still available for these machines, they can be serviced, oiled and repaired so no reason why they can't go on for years. The Alfa 50 produced in 1960's, designed for a variety of sewing tasks with simple operation. It has a sturdy industrial green metal body with the wooden base (there is some damage to the wooden base underneath the machine - please see photographs) and comes with Alfa brown machine cover and accessories shown in picture 10.
