Historically used for boot making (thus the long arm) as well as harness making and general leather working projects. The sewing foot swirls so you can sew in 360 directions - very handy! Can be mounted on casters for easy movement. Open till a year or two ago it was in use by a good friends leather shop has been in storage since this machine is ready to go right to work. Comes with some extra Bobbons and needles. Dimensions: W 28 x D 19 H 48. In 1851 by Isaac Merritt Singer with New York lawyer Edward Clark. Best known for its sewing machines, it was renamed Singer Manufacturing Company in 1865, then the Singer Company in 1963. It is based in La Vergne, Tennessee, near Nashville.
