Seems like a simple cleaning/servicing would bring it up to perfect aesthetically. While it has it's power cord, there are several areas on it that the rubber is chipped and broken away exposing the wiring. As such, we did not plug it in to test. When you turn the wheel the needle freely and smoothly goes up and down. Model #56 Walnut Cabinet needs refinishing, especially tabletop.
Other than that, everything seems to be there and it is very sturdy. When you flip over the top to create your work table, the swing out support arm is present and very stable.
The knee push for the On/Off pedal (which is also present and attached to the cabinet) also is present and works perfectly. They are both simple to remove, and re-attach, to this cabinet. Please carefully review all the photos, and ask your questions as I do not claim any expertise in vintage Singer machines.
