Antique 1878 Rarest Industrial Sewing Machine Double Big Gear Mechanism 80 Lbs

Ultra rare & antique industrial leather sewing machine. One of the first industrial sewing machine ever made with double huge gear mechanism. Each gear can works as a pulley connected to an antique steam engine. Biggest gear can be displaced to select manual use or speed when connected to a steam engine.

This model as been made in England and has an impressive steampunk looking with spaced gears. Later models replaced this kind of huge mechanism for compact gears (more practical). So this is the only model with this extraordinary interacting large gears.

Amazing historical piece completely made with massive cast iron and steel pieces that show the espirit of solidity of the beginning of the industrial revolution. It has an extremely low serial number: 3 (marked: 3 - 3).

It weighs more or less 80 lbs. Original antique condition and seems to be complete (needle is missing).
